Weezer have released a new song they teased last week while announcing dates for a North American tour this fall.
Keeping their word, the band have shared Shine Again, a fuzzy yet melodic, guitar-driven offering that serves as the first preview of their forthcoming album, their debut for Reprise/Warner Records.
The alt-rock song follows the announcement of Weezer: The Gathering, a 32-city arena tour across the US and Canada, which kicks off on September 8 at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center and wraps up on October 24 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
Support on run will come from The Shins and Silversun Pickups, with tickets for all shows going on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (April 3).
Weezer released their most recent studio albums, 'Van Weezer’ and ’OK Human’, in 2021, followed by their ’SZNZ’ EP project in 2022.
In 2024, they put out 'Weezer 30 (Anniversary Super Deluxe)’, a deluxe edition of ’The Blue Album’, alongside their Voyage To The Blue Planet Tour, which celebrated the self-titled record (aka The Blue Album).
